Is the Lansing Grand River Plant in danger of closing?
A Detroit Free Press article published Tuesday morning cited "industry experts" as saying the plant was one of four GM facilities that could face closure. The reason, they say, is because the Grand River Plant is only operating at 33% capacity.
But GM spokeswoman Erin Davis told News 10 no announcements have been made about the plant. Davis adds that the company does not comment on speculation.
The LGR plant builds the Chevy Camaro and Cadillac ATS and CTS sedans. Production of the Cadillac cars will end this winter. GM says it will replace them with new vehicles.
