Experts are saying that summertime is prime time for car thieves.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants to remind people to stay alert when they are at home or on vacation.
They say to that you need to be sure to lock your doors and roll up your windows.
Some thieves may also target stealing certain car parts, so be on the look out for that.
Remember if you leave any valuable items in your car, don't forget to hide them.
The NHTSA also says that a vehicle is stolen every 41 seconds in the US.
