State Attorney General Bill Schuette has named a former prosecutor as special counsel in his investigation into the Flint water crisis.
He just announced Todd Flood will be looking into the crisis along with retired Detroit FBI Chief Andrew Arena.
The State Attorney General is also calling a news conference this morning in Lansing where he will give an update on the investigation.
Schuette announced less than two weeks ago that he would conduct an investigation to determine if any state laws were violated.
He called the situation in Flint a human tragedy, and said he would enforce the laws meant to protect Michigan families.
Schuette says both Flood and Arena will report to him.
