A former Michigan State University basketball strength and conditioning coach is facing several years in prison when he's sentenced Thursday afternoon.

Todd Moyer was convicted of two counts of reckless driving causing death last month.

Prosecutors say he was texting and driving when he crashed into the back of a car on
U.S. 23 in Monroe County's Summerfield Township in July 2017.

35-year-old Gladys Johnson and her 5-year-old daughter were killed in the crash.

Moyer could get fifteen years in prison.

He's scheduled to be sentenced in Monroe County 38th Circuit Court at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
