The East Lansing Police Department is investigating a fireworks incident near a popular bar.

They got the call regarding the incident around 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 6.

An employee at Harper's Restaurant & Brew Pub, located at 131 Albert St. in East Lansing, told Fox 47 that they believed someone drove by and threw a firework out of a car window.

The police said that the person suspected of throwing the firework was denied entry into the bar earlier, came back, and threw a large, lit firework into the crowd in front of the bar.

No one was seriously injured, but one person did go to the hospital for a leg injury.

A bar employee told Fox 47 that East Lansing police are reviewing security cameras that may have captured the suspect's vehicle and license plate.

Anyone with information should call the East Lansing Police tip line at 877-ELPD-TIP or the Detective Bureau at 517-319-6884.
