Employee facing reckless discharge of a firearm

Lansing police are seeking charges against the party store employee who shot at two teenagers.

It happened after the teens tried to rob his business. The attempted robbery happened on Sunday night in the 1300 block of Malcolm-X Street.

Police say the suspects came in and tried to rob the store with handguns, but left the store when the employee showed his handgun.

He then followed the suspects outside and shot at them as they ran away.

Police are seeking a charge of reckless discharge of a firearm.
