Eaton County residents have made their voice known on election night.
Starting in Charlotte, the new Charlotte Mayor is Tim Lewis. And the Charlotte City Council At-large member goes to L. Daryl Baker with 66% of the vote. Charlotte City Council District 1 will be represented by Yvonne Ridge, and District 2 was won by Brad Johnston.
The Charlotte Charter Amendment which allows the city to create a $800,000 fund for public improvements and equipment passed in a close race 681 votes to 593.
In Eaton Rapids, Paul Malewski has beat Steven G. Platte for Mayor. And Eaton Rapids City Council At-large is Gary Wichman.
Olivet voted for Laura Barlond-Maas as Mayor over Debra Maxwell. And the three on the ballot for Olivet CIty Council will all be representing - Pam Bess, Gary L. Peterson, and James Frohm.
And the Strange School District millage passed. This millage renews operating expenses in Oneida District.
There was also a 911 surcharge on the ballot. Which indicated the $1.75 on landline phones would help the county make upgrades to its emergency dispatch equipment. Voters approved the proposal with 63% voting yes and 37% voting no.
And in Grand Ledge, Kalmin D. Smith won as Grand Ledge Mayor with 58% of the vote against Michael S. Coll. The Grand Ledge City Council seat for Ward One went to Keith O. Mulder, Ward Two to Michael Dean Doty, and Ward Three's seat went to Thomas J. Sowle, Jr.
The four members selected for the Potterville City Council are Jennifer Lenneman, Duston Twichell, Bruce King and Ryan Martin.
