Elderly homeowner, young girl tied up & robbed at gunpoint

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning home invasion. It happened just after 4:30am Tuesday in the 7000 block of Division Drive in Newton Township.

Police say three suspects entered the home and tied up an 84-year-old man and 13-year-old girl and held them at gunpoint as they stole electronics and jewelry. The suspects also stole the homeowner's car, which was later recovered about two miles away.

No one was hurt during the robbery. The teen was eventually able to free herself and get to a neighbor's house to call 911.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect Description 1: Unknown male, 5’10”, stocky build, wearing a baseball hat with a white hoodie pulled over his head, wavy green/brown camo pants

Suspect Description 2: Black male, 5’10”, skinny build, wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head, light-colored blue jeans

Suspect Description 3: Unknown
