Readers in East Lansing can't use the library for awhile.
As of today, the East Lansing Public Library is closed to prepare for a renovation. The public won't be able to get into the library until January 11th.
The renovation aims to transform the library into a community hub, with a new children's area, a family bathroom, vending machines, and more open spaces.
The entire project is expected to be completed next summer.
During the closure, all digital resources will still be available to the public, the library's book drop will still be open, and the teen after school drop-in program will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in East Lansing.
