EL Police ask person who damaged CVS ramp to fess up

Posted

East Lansing Police are asking for the person who damaged the CVS ramp to fess up, and pay for the damages.

Wednesday morning (May 17) somebody appeared to try to do pull-ups in the CVS ramp in downtown East Lansing. The damage caused is worth $163.

Police say they believe the individual suffered enough punishment, so they're not planning on seeking prosecution - they just want payment for the damage.

They had this to say on Facebook:

Were you trying to impress your friends with your pull-up abilities during the early morning hours of May 17th? Did that not go quite as you planned? Does your head hurt?

If you answered yes to all of those questions you might be who we are looking for... besides the damage to your ego (and maybe your head) you also caused $163 worth of damage to the CVS ramp downtown. We feel like you have suffered enough punishment for your actions, so, if you turn yourself in we will not seek prosecution, just restitution for the damage. Call Lt. Sexton: (517) 319-6916.

If you are able to ID this individual please call us. (517) 319-6916 & PLEASE SHARE
