Authorities have closed down a portion of eastbound I-96 in Clinton County for a serious crash involving three vehicles.
The crash happened near Bauer Rd. in Watertown Township at about 10:35 a.m Monday.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office says an eastbound pickup truck rear-ended an SUV, which was then pushed into a third vehicle. Traffic had been slowing down for a construction zone.
All eastbound traffic is being diverted to Wright Road. The detour takes drivers from Wright Rd. to Eastbound Grand River, and then back onto I-96.
