A dive team's search for old evidence caused a bit of a stir in the Eaton Rapids community Tuesday.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Deputy Chief says the dive team was searching for evidence related to an old case, nothing related to a major crime.
They believe the evidence was dumped from a home invasion. The suspect told them that he threw it in the river.
The investigation is ongoing, and they are looking for evidence of a property crime. They would not release any other details.
