EATON RAPIDS, Mich. — Business owners in Eaton Rapids will be headed to their local government to fight a violation.

The owners, Jamie and Traci Lawson of "Your Creative Escape," a pottery shop, got a violation for signs they have out in front of their building.

They said the city ordered them to take the signs down outside of their business.

The city says the main sign is too big and businesses are only allowed to have two signs facing the street, not seven.

The owners said they realize the may have violated the ordinance and now they want it changed.

"Each building should have their own signs whether it looks good or not."
