Eaton County Sheriff Tom Reich says a suspect has been identified in the death of 22-year-old Lansing resident, Trevon McDuffy, in a shooting that happened in the parking lot of a Delta Township convenience store on Tuesday July 11, 2017.

Police have identified a suspect in the shooting. He has been identified as Nathaniel Marcelious-Antonio Bowers, a 23-year-old man. He is described as a black man, 5'4" tall with a thin build.

As a result of the Eaton County Sheriff's Office investigation, the Eaton County Prosecutor's Office has authorized a warrant for his arrest on charges of Open Murder and Felony Firearm.

Multiple agencies are looking for him, including the Lansing Police Department, the Capitol Area Violent Crime Initiative, the MSU Police Department, and the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team.

Police say this was not a random act, and that the suspect knew the victim. They say that Bowers has ties to the Detroit area, and they believe he is still armed. Police ask that anyone who spots Bowers call 911.

If you are a witness or have any information regarding this crime, we are asking that you call Eaton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sergeant Josh Ivey at 517-652-3315 or Mid-Michigan Crime stoppers at 517-483-STOP.
