An Eaton County man was charged with and arraigned on eight counts connected to three police chases that occurred on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10, 2017.
Brent Lee McPhall, 36, of Charlotte was charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of fleeing/eluding police, malicious destruction of police property, two counts of resisting/obstructing police, and driving while license suspended.
The first fleeing/eluding case happened on Friday June 9 around 9:00 p.m. in Dimondale. The second happened on Saturday, June 10 around 1:00 p.m. in Charlotte, with the third at 7:30 p.m. in Potterville.
McPhall drove on or through residential properties, and a farm field. The high-speed chase ended near Nixon Road, where McPhall ran from his vehicle. He was caught on the morning of Sunday, June 11.
McPhall was arraigned by Eaton County District Court Judge Juie Reincke. Bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety with a requirement for a GPD tether if released on bond. A preliminary case conference was scheduled for June 26, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.
