JACKSON, Mich. — There is an orange barrel alert regarding the over $100- million construction project on I-94 in Jackson County.
Starting at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night, the right lane of eastbound I-94 between Lansing Avenue and Cooper Street will be closed.
MDOT crews are installing beams for the future I-94 bridge over the Grand river.
The lane will reopen each day at 6 a.m.
MDOT says the closure to end by Saturday morning.
The next phase of the project will begin two weeks, when the Cooper Street Bridge will be closed for demolition and reconstruction.
