East Lansing votes Ruth Beier and Aaron Stephens for City Council.

Residents also voted down the proposal to create a 1% income tax on residents and a .5% income tax on non-residents who work in the city.

That tax was voted no by 55% of the voters and 45% voted yes.

Also, in East Lansing, the property tax reduction which would reduce property taxes from 2% to 1.3% if the income tax proposal passed - did pass by 62%. However, that won't go into effect due to the income tax not passing.
