LANSING, Mich. — The city of East Lansing has settled a lawsuit with a former employee.

Troy Williams will get $125,000 from the city after a city council vote Tuesday night.

Williams is a former wastewater treatment plant employee.

His lawsuit alleged he was fired in retaliation for reporting health and safety violations to state agencies and filing a workers' compensation claim.
