East Lansing police look for bank robber

An East Lansing bank was robbed when a suspect walked up to the teller and indicated he had a gun.

East Lansing Police officers say the robbery happened around 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the PNC Bank located at 1561 W. Lake Lansing Road.

The suspect demanded money, and there was no weapon seen. The suspect is described as approximately 5’ to 5’5” in height with braids. He was wearing a grey hoodie and jeans at the time of the robbery.

After the robbery, the suspect entered the passenger side of a late 90s or early 2000 blue car, possibly a Toyota, according to police.

A short time after the robbery, detectives located a sum of money on Harrison Road, just north of Saginaw Street. Police believe it is related to the robbery.

No suspects are in custody, and ELPD is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information can call 517-351-4220.
