East Lansing police are investigating a string of car break-ins after thieves hit more than a dozen cars in a week.
Officers believe several suspects are checking parking lots and driveways for unlocked car doors then stealing items from those vehicles.
Police say the thieves are not targeting certain neighborhoods and the break-ins are happening across the city.
