A favorite park in East Lansing will be re-open to all furry friends on Friday.
The Northern Tail Dog Park has been closed since the fall of 2017. The city did extensive work to improve the drainage at the park and restore the grassy areas.
In the future, the city may close the park during wet weather and winter months.
For now, those that want to use the park are being asked to enter it through the north entrance - there will be signs posted. This will help to prevent wear and tear on the new grass.
“Thank you to everyone for their patience during this extended closure,” said East Lansing Parks, Recreation & Arts Director Tim McCaffrey.
The park which is located at 6400 Abbot Road is scheduled to open on Friday, June 15.
