What many in East Lansing call an eyesore will come down starting Monday.
Crews will begin their demolition work at the old bank building, 303 Abbott Rd. Monday morning.
The demolition is expected to take about two weeks.
Asbestos treatment and other tests will be conducted before the building is torn down.
Sidewalks around the property will be closed during the project. Roads adjacent to the building could also be temporarily closed.
The property, located in East Lansing's park district area, is the first of several properties to be demolished this year.
