LANSING, Mich. — The Board of Water and Light (BWL) has confirmed with Fox 47 that the poles have been replaced.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, east Jolly Road between College Road and Hagadorn Road in Meridian Township had to be shut down because of several power poles leaning over the road.
The Meridian Township Fire Department responded to the area around 1 a.m.
Officials at the scene told us that there is no word yet on what caused the power poles to lean.
According to the Meridian Township Police, as of 12:49 p.m, the roads were still blocked off, but now (2:00 pm) they are telling us the road is open.
An investigation is currently underway.
