Four dogs die in a house fire early this morning on Lansing's north side.
Firefighters were called to a house on Glenrose Avenue this morning at 6:28 a.m.
Crews say fire was coming from the roof. Boarded windows and gates made it difficult for firefighters to make entry. Once crews were able to get inside, they had the fire out in about 45 minutes.
Assistant Chief Matthew Jenkins of the Lansing Fire Department tells us marijuana was found inside the house.
He says it was a marijuana grow house, although it has not been determined how many plants were in the house or if the grow was licensed or not.
No one was inside the house at the time of the fire. Investigators say 4 dogs on the property died. Investigators are on the scene right now working to find a cause of the fire.
