An early morning fire in Jackson damages a home.
Firefighters were called to put out a fire on Monroe Street in Jackson just before 1 a.m. When crews arrived both the house and garage were on fire.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly. The garage is a total loss.
Damage to the house is minimal. A woman inside was able to get out safely. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the fire.
