Fire breaks out early Monday morning at a Jackson County motel forcing guests to evacuate to the parking lot.
Firefighters were called to the Cascades motel on Ann Arbor Road just before 1 a.m.
The Blackman-Leoni Township Fire Department tells us, the fire was in one room, and crews were able to keep it contained to just that one room. However, guests in three rooms were evacuated. The American Red Cross was on scene earlier this morning helping those families.
No one was injured in the fire. An investigation into how it started is now underway. Jackson Fire, Summit Township and Grass Lake Fire Departments assisted Blackman-Leoni Township.
