Fire breaks out early Friday morning at an apartment building in Delta Township.
Fire crews responded to the Delta Village Apartments on Harvest Lane just after 2 a.m. There was heavy smoke coming out of one of the garden level units. The tenants of the 12-unit building were all safely evacuated.
The fire was contained to just the one apartment but there was heavy smoke. Four people were treated on scene for smoke inhalation including two people who were inside the apartment that caught fire.
The investigation into the blaze is underway, but the Delta Township Fire Chief believes it is a cooking fire.
