E. coli outbreak linked to chopped romaine lettuce

Posted

The CDC is reporting that chopped romaine lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona region could be contaminated with E. coli and could be making people sick.

If you have store-bought chopped romaine lettuce at home you should not eat it and you should throw it away. This includes salads, and salad mixes. If you're not sure if the lettuce is romaine you should still throw it away.

Before you buy lettuce at the store or at a restaurant the CDC says you should confirm with the store that it's not chopped romaine lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona area.
