Police say this man was drunk when he crashed into an Eaton County Sheriff's Deputy Thursday.
25-year-old Benjamin Murphy was charged with operating while intoxicated, failure to stop and fleeing and eluding Friday.
Police say a deputy was helping with a traffic stop on East Saginaw Highway around 2 AM. The deputy was standing near the front of his car when Murphy clipped him and kept driving. The deputy was not seriously hurt.
Another officer chased Murphy and arrested him at a gas station down the street.
