LANSING, Mich. — A traffic shift is headed our way in mid-Michigan .
MDOT has alerted residents of an eastbound I-94 traffic shift from Lansing Avenue to Elm Road that starts Wednesday.
The shift starts Wednesday at 8 p.m. on September 4 and is expected to be completed by 7 a.m. on Thursday, September 12.
The traffic shift is to accommodate lane reconstruction as part of the I-94 corridor project.
The M-50 (West Avenue) ramp to eastbound I-94 will be closed and detoured during the shift.
If you are traveling eastbound, and planning to exit at Elm Avenue, you will be directed to remain in the right lane.
Drivers should expect delays.
