Driver charged in car-pedestrian fatal crash

Reilly Quinn was formally charged for the death of a 14-year-old girl from Haslett who was hit while crossing Lansing Road in Shiawasee Township.

LANSING, Mich. — An East Lansing man has been charged for the death of Hannah Hidalgo, 14, of Haslett who was hit while crossing Lansing Road in Shiawasee Township on Aug. 4.

Reilly Quinn was formally charged by the Shiawassee County Prosecutor's Office with count one of operating while intoxicated causing death and count two of reckless driving causing death.

Evidence shows that Quinn's blood alcohol content was above the legal limit, and that his speed at the time of the crash was excessive, according to the Shiawasee County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said Quinn is currently being held at the Shiawassee County Jail on bond revocation from a previous charge. He was given a $25,000 cash security bond on the above charges.
