We may have a rematch in one of Mid-Michigan's Congressional races next year.

Democrat Gretchen Driskell announced today she will make another run in the seventh district.
She lost to Republican Tim Walberg last November.

Driskell made the announcement in her home town of Saline before holding a meet and greet at Dimitri's Restaurant in Delta Township.

Driskell was mayor of Saline for 14 years and served three terms in the state house.

She told us why she thinks she can beat Walberg after losing the last time.

She says, "there's a lot of energy and I've been talking to a lot of people and there's a lot of frustration with the dysfunctionality in Congress and that's why I'm running."

Walberg beat Driskell by 15 points last year and will be the favorite in 2018.

The seventh district includes Eaton, Jackson, and Hillsdale counties and it leans Republican.
