Drinking diet pop may help prevent colon cancer

Posted

For all the bad things doctors are telling us about diet pop, they may have found something good.

Researchers at Yale's Cancer Center believe it can help keep colon cancer at bay.

They studied more than 1,000 patients for seven years. People who drank at least 12 ounces of pop, with an artificial sweetener in it every day were 46% less likely to have their cancer come back.

That doesn't change the fact that people who drink diet pop tend to eat more and are more likely to be obese.
