Downed tree causes backup on US 127 near I-96

Thursday's storms caused a traffic headache on Friday morning in Lansing.

A downed tree was blocking both northbound lanes of U.S. Route 127 near the Interstate 96 interchange. The debris is located just after the Holt Road exit.

The road block was first reported at about 8 a.m., according to MDOT.

The tree caused a major traffic backup during rush hour.

As of 10 a.m. Friday, the tree had been cleared from the road, according to MDOT.
