Downed phone line closes road

LANSING, Mich. — Drivers were inconvenienced for a short time on Wednesday due to a downed phone line.

It happened around 2 p.m. on Clippert Street between Saginaw and Fernwood Avenue and caused the road to be closed to traffic.

Witnesses reported that a semi-truck hit a pole, knocking the phone line onto the road.

The BWL was able to take care of the issue and the road was reopen within the hour.
