Do you still have your eclipse glasses?

If you're not saving them for the next solar phenomena, you can donate them to a good cause.

The groups Astronomers Without Borders and Explore Scientific are collecting eclipse glasses to send to other places such as schools in South America and Asia.

An eclipse is expected to cross those continents in 2019.

You can turn your glasses in at any L.O. Eyecare office across Mid-Michigan.

"If people have concerns at all that maybe their glasses aren't safe or they think they may have been damaged, they can still drop them off and the organization will inspect them before they send them on " said Thomas Moore an Opthamologist at L.O. Eye Care.

Now, they just started collecting glasses today, they'll be accepting them until at least the end of September.

They will make sure they're certified and safe before sending them on.
