The Federal Government is suing three apartment complexes in Michigan.
The lawsuit accuses the building management of not allowing single parents and their children to live in one bedroom apartments.
A housing center had testers try to rent units at Parkside East Apartments in East Lansing, Holt Manor in Holt and Kelly Manor in Owosso.
Those tests revealed single parent families were not allowed to rent, but two parent families were.
The government is asking for those single parent families to get a cash settlement.
