A dog that went missing after a crash that happened Sunday morning near Williamston has been found, and is safe.

The search continues for a dog missing following a crash early Sunday morning near Williamston.
The black doberman named Chico was riding in a pickup truck when the truck was hit by a driver who ran a stop sign.
The accident happened just after 10:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Zimmer and Linn Roads.
Authorities say the driver behind the wheel of a Subaru ran the stop sign hitting Mario Allen, age 29, was was driving a Ford pick-up. The Subaru exploded into flames after the collision.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Allen's dog Chico has been missing since the crash. If you've spotted Chico, please call Allen at (517) 749-9447.
