GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WSYM) - First responders were called to a fire inside a Grand Ledge home Saturday night.
It happened around 8 p.m. in the 6700 block of Willow Highway.
The homeowner tells FOX 47 News she arrived home from work to find her home filled with smoke. She immediately called 911.
The fire is believed to have started in the basement. It's possible broken pipes could have helped in putting the fire out.
A dog died in the fire, the search is still on for a cat that was inside the home.
The home received smoke damage.
Willow Highway near the home was closed for nearly three hours as crews worked the scene.
