A Lansing police officer is recovering after getting attacked by a dog Wednesday night.
It happened in the yard of a house on Ingham Street in south Lansing just before midnight.
Officers were looking for a suspect who ran from a traffic stop when the dog attacked.
One officer sustained minor injuries from the dog bite. The other officer then shot and killed the dog.
The man who fled the traffic stop is still on the loose.
