New information on the young boy whose disappearance led to a massive search in Hillsdale County last week.

FOX 47 News has obtained court documents showing the County Department of Health and Human Services is asking a court to remove Jace Lyon from his mother's home.

A petition filed with the family court shows the nine year old told investigators he is beaten by his mother, Tonya Lyon, and is often left home alone overnight when she's on-call for work.

Jace said he ran away from home on January 18th because he didn't want to be in the house any more.

He was found three days later. Police say he is in good health.

The hearing is scheduled for February 28th.
