Some dispatchers will say they're just doing their job, but in one particular case, it became much more than that for Cassandra Yarger.
Yarger got a 911 call from a woman who said her best friend wasn't breathing. Which led to her directing the woman on how to perform CPR before the ambulances arrived.
"She was really cooperative and really good. She took great instructions. she was ready to get in there and help her friend," Yarger said.
However, Cassandra never thought she'd meet the woman she saved and her family.
"That's the first time that ever happened here. It was just amazing. It was very appreciated that someone wanted to meet us. That's what made this situation so unique," Yarger added.
She said she will be forever grateful to the family who thanked her in person because it's not something that happens everyday.
We reached out to the family for an interview, but they declined.
