JACKSON, Mich. — The Digital Bookmobile will be rolling through Jackson, MI, on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Jackson District Public Library-- Meijer Branch.
The Digital Bookmobile is a 53-foot long bus that travels from coast to coast promoting and educating people about local libraries digital catalogs of ebooks, audiobooks and more.
It's a community outreach effort that connects people with digital content.
Readers can interactively learn inside the bus.
A browsing station walks readers through how to log on to their library digitally.
There is a lounge where library staff and Digital Bookmobile staff can answer questions one-on-one and a gadget gallery where people can get comfortable using technology such as iPads and Kindles,
Digital Bookmobile was created in 2008 in New York.
According to Digital Bookmobile, since then it has traveled more then 233,000 miles and welcomed over 240,000 visitors.
