The DeWitt Township Police Department is looking for two men who they believe are involved in a string of car break-ins.

FOX 47's Cryss Walker spoke to one of the victims.

“We will find them”, said DeWitt resident Sarah Bland.

“Their photos have been released. There are hundreds of shares on the post on Facebook.”

In a community that is usually peaceful neighbors say it's now disturbed.

They told me that they've heard about at least 10 car break-ins over the last 48 hours.

Bland says Tuesday morning she became one of them after she woke up and found her car window shattered.

The 21-year-old says she was contacted on Facebook from someone who found her wallet in a parking lot she says she also received messages from her creditors about fraudulent activity on her account.

“They charged thousands of dollars on our credit cards and they took things that we'll never be able to get back”, Bland explained.

The DeWitt native says she was very hurt because the purse that was taken was a gift from her mother, who recently passed away.

“That was the last birthday we spent together… that purse that she had given me and I'll never be able to get that back”, Bland continued.

If you have any information on these break-ins, you are encouraged to contact the DeWitt Township Police at 517-669-6578.
