It's pretty common to see magazines laying around a barber shop. Now a few of them in Lansing will have an even wider reading selection.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters of lansing" placed "book nooks" in three shops around town.
The idea is to encourage kids to read and help close the achievement gap for young boys of color.
The book nooks are at North Side Barber Shop, True Styles and Fades and Pro-style Barber Shop and Hair Salon.
