Detroit man faces murder charges in Lansing

A Detroit area man has been brought back to Lansing to face a murder charge.

Shawn Feaon Pickens, 22, was arraigned in Lansing 54ADistrict Court Monday on charges that he shot and killed Dominique Laurenze Simmons, 29.

The shooting took place February 11th inside the Kutt II Barber Shop. Two other men were shot inside the barber shop, but survived.

Pickens was being held in the Wayne County Jail on February 16, when the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office announced they were charging him.

Pickens is not only accused of open murder, but is also charged with assault with intent to murder, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.

He is being held in jail without bond. His next court date is a pre-exam conference March 24.
