Eaton County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at 10:25pm near the Waverly Party Store, located near Waverly and Holmes roads.
Deputies located evidence of the shooting in the store's parking lot, but said they could not find any victims when they arrived on scene.
It's still unclear if the shooting happened inside the store or how many people were involved.
A home in the area was also hit by gunfire, but no one was hurt, a news release said.
Lansing police and Lansing Township police also assisted in what is now an ongoing investigation, the Eaton County Sheriff's Office said.
No other information about the incident was immediately available.
