Thursday is World Water Day and demonstrators from across the state took to the capitol, calling on state leaders to be held accountable for water crises in Michigan.
Protesters criticized how Governor Rick Snyder and other leaders handled issues like the Flint Water Crisis, the Enbridge Oil Pipeline and water shutoffs in Detroit.
As the Great Lakes State, organizers say Michigan's water needs to be safer and more affordable.
Going forward demonstrators are asking lawmakers to propose responsible legislation to protect Michigan's water.
