A lifelong dream becomes reality for a Delta Township woman as Elizabeth Johnson will watch herself on Monday night's episode of Jeopardy.
She told News 19 that is was "the experience of a lifetime."
From the time she was a kid, she always wanted to be on Jeopardy.
So she jumped at the opportunity when the producers started offering online tests giving people a chance to be on the show.
Elizabeth Johnson said, "It was only once a year but I made sure I cleared my schedule for the test and (then) hope you get a call."
After years of taking these tests, she got called to do an in-person audition in 2014.
Years went by and she didn't hear anything. But she kept testing, and finally got the call last year.
"I ditched a conference call at work and said 'oh my God Jeopardy is calling me' and said 'I gotta go' and I was absolutely beside myself trying to be cool but really I was freaking out inside."
Johnson said the whole experience was just so surreal. It didn't really hit her until the lights and camera were on and it was game time
