UPDATE: Police have identified the man who died after a fatal accident in Delta Township.
He is 32-year-old Daniel Russian of Delta Township.

The Eaton County Sheriff's Office says one man is dead after a three vehicle accident on eastbound I-496 just west of Waverly Road in Delta Township. Police say their preliminary investigation has determined a vehicle being driven by a Delta Township resident rear-ended a box truck that had stopped in the road because of a construction zone backup.
The force of the collision pushed the box truck into another stopped car in front of it. The male driver of the first car was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.

The eastbound lanes of I-496 have been shut down between Creyts Road and Waverly, due to an accident.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Department is on the scene of the accident. News 10 has a crew there and is working to learn what happened.
